Revitalizing our Inheritance - Accessible Entrance Project
In August 2011, the Anglican Diocese of Toronto launched an exciting capital campaign, branded as "Our Faith-Our Hope: Re-Imagine Church." The campaign sought to raise $50,000,000 throughout the Diocese of Toronto. The funds from this campaign would become accessible to Diocesan churches to Re-Imagine the Church through staffing, leadership development, technology, and pioneering ministry. Other funds were committed to supporting the wider church, and ensuring the strength and longevity of the Diocese as a whole.

St George’s embraced the campaign, making significant contributions to the campaign, and creating the ambitious goal of Re-Imagining St George’s Memorial, Oshawa in the process. The vestry of St George’s church voted in September 2015, by a significant margin, to build a new accessible, and barrier free entrance on the historic facade of St George’s Church to ensure the church is available to all persons for generations to come.

For more information about the project, please contact the office, the Churchwardens, or the Rector. To support the new face of St George’s Church make a designated donation to the project through the office.
